Astrid and Hal Doder opened the store in October 1977, when Noe Valley was a quiet, blue collar neighborhood with great weather and a bright future. Over the years, it has become one of the most vibrant and hip, yet family oriented, neighborhoods in San Francisco, with the same terrific weather.
